October 17, 2012 -- Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s annual Homecoming parade dodged the rain Saturday, leaving a beautiful day for “Ranger Renaissance: 115 Years of Champions.” Several organizations provided nice parade floats and talented junior high and high school bands participated for prizes during the parade.

Also recognized were the six candidates who are running for the titles of Ranger King and Ranger Queen, to be announced on Oct. 13 during halftime of the Ranger Homecoming game.

September 27, 2011 - A Northwestern Oklahoma State University Homecoming Art Exhibition showing more than 40 pieces of art by more than 20 artists will be the first event in the new Graceful Arts Center in downtown Alva. In honor of the 60th Anniversary of the Miss Cinderella Talent Show and Pageant at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, four former Cinderella winners and a former pageant director are coming back to campus to judge this year’s event. For Harvey Reeg, Northwestern Oklahoma State University holds a special place in his heart. It is the place where he met his wife, earned his undergraduate degree in 1954 and received his master’s in 1961. He now will serve as parade marshal during the annual Homecoming celebration on Sept. 29-Oct. 1. Reeg will lead the parade at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1. By showing his Ranger pride and leading the parade, it makes him an ideal candidate to represent the Homecoming theme, “Northwestern: Branded for Life.”
