KANSAS CITY, Kan. – In its final tournament of the fall semester, the Northwestern men’s golf team took 10th place at the Blue Devil Classic, hosted by Kansas City Community College in Kansas City on October 13 and 14.
The Rangers fired a 674 team score, putting them six strokes behind ninth place Graceland and two strokes ahead of Allen County Community College. Northwestern shot a 341 on Monday and improved by eight strokes on the final day, shooting a 333.
Matt Lee again led the way for the Rangers with an 84-81—165, putting him at a tie for 26th in the field of 87 golfers. Bryant Briggs wasn’t far behind, carding a 85-82—167 and was in a tie for 35th. Ty Billy And Brent Anderson shot 174 and 194, respectively.
Northwestern’s golf teams will be idle until the spring season begins.
