OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Northwestern Oklahoma State University softball team dropped a doubleheader to Oklahoma Christian 10-3 in game one and 11-0 in game two to open up the Sooner Athletic Conference schedule.
Game One - Box Score
The Lady Rangers (3-3, 0-2 SAC) got a run in the fourth on Megan Bourdon's sacrifice fly and tied the game in the fifth on Jasmine Braxton's single. However, the Lady Rangers left the bases loaded in the inning.
In the bottom half, the Lady Eagles scored four runs all after two outs.
Bourdon homered to cut the Lady Eagles lead to 6-3 in the sixth, but Oklahoma Christian scored four more runs in the bottom half to put the Lady Rangers in a seven-run whole that they wouldn't recover from.
Game Two - Box Score
The Lady Rangers never found a groove in game two falling behind four runs after two innings.
Oklahoma Christian added one in the fifth and scored six times in the fourth inning to put Northwestern down 11-0. The game ended by the run rule after five innings.
Northwestern managed just two hits, one from Jayci Wehrenberg and the other by Monique Zevada.
The Lady Rangers will return to action Saturday at the Friends Tournament.
