DALLAS, Texas - The Northwestern Oklahoma State University baseball team swept a doubleheader against the Crusaders taking game one 10-0 and game two 6-2.
Jason Martyn threw four shutout innings and struck out two en route to the win. Jeff Davis threw two shutout innings while Joel Perez closed the game in the seventh to preserve the Ranger shutout.
The Rangers got on the board in the first inning after Patrick Johnson doubled to lead off the game and Juan Natal singled him home. Camilo Baldelomar continued his hot hitting driving in three runs in the third when he cleared the bases with a double. He drove in three more runs in the seventh with a three-run homer.
The Rangers (25-19) took game two behind a solid performance from starting pitcher Chase Kokojan, who gave up just two hits over 3.2 innings. Johnson had two hits in the game while Jose Maysonet was a perfect 2-for-2.
The Rangers will play another doubleheader with Dallas Christian set to begin at noon tomorrow.
