OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Northwestern Oklahoma State University women's basketball team ran in to a buzz saw against the No. 1 Oklahoma City Stars falling 114-66 at Abe Lemons Arena on Monday evening.
The Rangers (6-5, 3-3) were able to stay with the nation's best in the game's early going at 16-13, but a 10-0 run gave the Stars a 26-13 lead.
Center Audrey Richmond led the way for the Rangers scoring 19 points and nailing three triples. A pair of free throws by the junior put NWOSU within seven, but the Rangers came no closer to the Stars.
Talytha Williams added 18 while Renee Golliday scored 11. Golliday also led the Rangers with seven rebounds.
The Rangers will return to action on Thursday at home against
University of Science and Arts Oklahoma with the game slated for a 6 p.m. start.
