Northwestern Oklahoma State University soccer coach Steve Barrows has announced the addition of Kayla Meloni and Kelsey Burdick to play Lady Ranger soccer during the 2008-09 season.

Meloni, a midfielder from Madison High School in San Antonio, Texas, is currently playing soccer for the Lions Futbal Club. While at Northwestern, she plans on obtaining her nursing credentials.

“Kayla has strong skills and knowledge of the game and will instantly strengthen our side,” stated Barrows. 

Burdick, also a midfielder, was an all-state performer hailing from Guthrie and is playing with the Edmond Soccer Club.

“Kelsey has a great understanding of the game and her skill and stamina will definitely help our squad,” remarked Barrows. “Her efforts helped lead Guthrie High School into the second round of state elimination.”
