SHAWNEE, Okla. (10-10-11) – Northwestern Oklahoma State University men’s cross country team ran this past Saturday in the Oklahoma Baptist Bison Invitational, picking up a ninth place finish in the event.
The Rangers finished behind the host school who won the event with six OBU runners finishing in the top six sports, and a seventh runner finishing ninth. Winning the race was Cordell Baker with a time of 25:37.
Northwestern was led by Luis Pena with a time of 25:58, good enough for a 51st place finish. Teammate Eathan Neal wasn’t far behind Pena, crossing the line 33-seconds later for the 55th spot.
Other Ranger finishers include Rob Robledo (30:40) in 68th place, Chance Carrico (31:32) in 71st place, Scott Pendergraft (32:32) in 74th place and Eric Treleaven (35:22) was the 79th runner to reach the finish line.
The Rangers next race will come this Saturday as they travel to compete in the McPherson College (Kan.) Shootout.
