    August 10, 2015--Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Master of Education Curriculum and Instruction program has been redesigned.

  • Master's degree in American Studies available at Northwestern

    July 23, 2015 -- Northwestern Oklahoma State University recently added a new graduate program to its lineup for students who hold undergraduate degrees in the humanities and social sciences. The Master of Arts degree in American Studies is one of only two such graduate programs offered in Oklahoma and will let students use northwest Oklahoma to understand larger cultural issues in the United States.

    February 24, 2015--Dr. Shawn Holliday, associate dean of graduate studies and professor of English at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, will have his third book published on Feb. 28.

    November 11, 2014--Dr. Shawn Holliday, associate dean of graduate studies and professor of English at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, has received a $1,000 Oklahoma Humanities Council Opportunity Grant to give a series of lectures at public libraries, museums and public schools around the state on the history of the Oklahoma poets laureate.               

  • Wagenbach receives graduate scholarship

    October 28, 2014 -- Rebekah Wagenbach, a graduate student from Kiowa, Kan., studying in Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s new Master of Arts in American Studies degree program, received a $1,000 scholarship from Westerners International, a non-profit foundation that stimulates interest and research in the history of the North American West.

  • Mason, Schmaltz present at Oklahoma Research Day

    Dr. Aaron Mason, assistant professor of political science, and Dr. Eric J. Schmaltz, associate professor of history, presented a joint research project titled "Comparative Federalism between Russia and the United States" at the 12th Annual Oklahoma Research Day at Cameron University in Lawton last week.
