STILLWATER, Okla. – Seven of Northwestern’s cross country runners participated this past Saturday in the Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, Okla. The women’s team placed 25th, while two men’s runners ran unattached.
Kacee McCulley led the pack for the women’s team with a time of 21:30 that put her in 93rd place out of 218 runners. Krstyle Martinez followed McCulley in 173rd place and recorded a time of 23:50. Rachel Kliewer was 198th with a 25:10 while Kaylen Kirby finished 208th with a 26:43. Chelsea Leathers rounded out the team times with a 28:23.
Out of 222 men’s runners, Conner Hobbs took 177th with a 31:18 and Walker Brainard finished with time of 33:24 for 211th.
Both cross country teams will be in action next Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Fort Hays State Tiger Open in Hays, Kan.
