Communications groups collecting
funds to benefit Bradley Gilbert

Northwestern’s chapters of the Oklahoma Broadcast Education Association (OBEA) and Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) are raising funds for Northwestern graduate Bradley Gilbert.  As a mass communications major, Bradley was active in all of our campus media.  Many of you will remember him as a photographer for the Northwestern News.  Bradley, a May 2007 graduate, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia earlier this month and is in the hospital in Oklahoma City.

The student organizations will collect funds from Monday, October 1 through Monday, October 15.  All gifts will be given to Bradley to help offset expenses of his treatment and extended hospital stay, which will be considerable due to a lack of insurance.  Donations may be sent via campus mail to Tammy Brown or dropped off at Brown’s office in Vinson Hall 110 or Jesse Schroeder’s office in Jesse Dunn Annex 235.  If someone needs a donation picked up, please contact Melanie Wilderman at 327-8481.  Checks and cash will be accepted.  Checks should be made payable to NWOSU OBEA.  Thank you for supporting a member of our Northwestern family!

Address to send cards and letters to Bradley:
Bradley Gilbert, Room 711, OU Medical Center Presbyterian Tower, 700 NE 13th, Oklahoma City, OK 73104

Electronic cards through the hospital can be sent by using the following link:
