Legendary Ranger athlete pledges $25,000
to NWOSU's Vision for Victory campaign
As a former All-America football player and three-sport letterman at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Stewart Arthurs clearly understands the role that athletics plays in the life of his alma mater.

To this day, Arthurs cherishes the camaraderie shared with his teammates and wants future Rangers to have the same opportunities that he experienced.

Bake sale for Bradley Gilbert,
other activities ongoing for Art Society
The Northwestern Oklahoma State University Art Society has a number of activities currently underway, and the newest one is a “Bake Sale for Bradley Gilbert” Saturday on the lawn of the downtown square during Homecoming.

Gilbert, a May 2007 Northwestern mass communications graduate and former member of the Art Society, recently was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He currently is in room 711 of the OU Medical Center’s Presbyterian Tower in Oklahoma City.

All food items will be sold on a donation basis. Cash and check donations also will be accepted at the club’s table. All proceeds will go to help the Gilberts with medical bills, which are considerable because Bradley has no insurance.

Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s annual Oklahoma Blood Institute Fall B
lood Drive is Wednesday, Oct. 10, and Thursday, Oct. 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Ranger Room located in the Student Center. Communications groups collecting
funds to benefit Bradley Gilbert

Northwestern’s chapters of the Oklahoma Broadcast Education Association (OBEA) and Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) are raising funds for Northwestern graduate Bradley Gilbert.  As a mass communications major, Bradley was active in all of our campus media.  Many of you will remember him as a photographer for the Northwestern News.  Bradley, a May 2007 graduate, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia earlier this month and is in the hospital in Oklahoma City.

The student organizations will collect funds from Monday, October 1 through Monday, October 15.  All gifts will be given to Bradley to help offset expenses of his treatment and extended hospital stay, which will be considerable due to a lack of insurance.  Donations may be sent via campus mail to Tammy Brown or dropped off at Brown’s office in Vinson Hall 110 or Jesse Schroeder’s office in Jesse Dunn Annex 235.  If someone needs a donation picked up, please contact Melanie Wilderman at 327-8481.  Checks and cash will be accepted.  Checks should be made payable to NWOSU OBEA.  Thank you for supporting a member of our Northwestern family!

Address to send cards and letters to Bradley:
Bradley Gilbert, Room 711, OU Medical Center Presbyterian Tower, 700 NE 13th, Oklahoma City, OK 73104
