'Rangers Helping Rangers' t-shirts
to benefit Greensburg Future Fund
Rangers helping Rangers. This is the screen-printed design shown on the ash gray t-shirts.

That’s exactly what Northwestern Oklahoma State University Art Society (NAS) members have decided to do – help Greensburg, Kan., Rangers, through a “Rangers Helping Rangers” t-shirt fundraiser.

When an EF-5 tornado ripped through Greensburg, Kan., on May 4 taking the town with it, it was evident that the people in that community were going to need a lot of help.

Because they needed the help, and after discovering some interesting ties that Northwestern has with Greensburg, the call to help could not be ignored.

One of those interesting ties includes sharing a mascot name – Rangers.

kicking off Oklahoma Flag Project

Sponsor an Oklahoma flag at NWOSU -- receive the flag at the end of our celebration!

During the 2007-08 school year, Northwestern Oklahoma State University proudly will be flying a number of Oklahoma flags on its Alva campus in recognition of the state's Centennial celebration and Northwestern's 110th anniversary.

Tentative plans are underway for a similar project on the Enid and Woodward campuses.

Individuals and/or businesses are welcome to sponsor State of Oklahoma flags for $50 each to be flown on the Northwestern campus. The flags will be set out on poles on the lawn during special dates at the university, such as the first day of classes, the original first day of classes’ commemoration on Sept. 20, commencement exercises and other determined dates, so the flags will not be displayed every day.  Read more...
