Greensburg, Kan., related information
Pizza Hut meals can help tornado victims today
Pizza Huts in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas are helping Greensburg, Kan., tornado victims by donating 20 percent of their profits generated today (May 10) to the United Way Greensburg Disaster Fund. Communities outside of Kansas in which the participating restaurants are located include Alva, Cherokee, Woodward, Beaver, Shattuck, Fairview, Guymon and Boise City in Oklahoma and Perryton, Canadian and Spearman in Texas.

Monetary donations to help alumni
Also, monetary donations are being accepted through Friday in Alysson Tucker's office for Northwestern alumni Josh and Devan (
Laing) Dellenbach, who lost everything during the Greensburg storm. Josh also is the brother of former mass communications instructor Charity Lyon. Donations can be taken to Fine Arts room 126 or 142.

Mother's Day church service planned in Greensburg
The Kiowa County (Kan.) Ministerial Alliance is coordinating a Mother's Day Church Service in Greensburg on Sunday morning, according to information provided by former Greensburg resident and Northwestern alumnus Micah Unruh, who is now living in Edmond. It will be held at Davis Park (Swimming Pool Park) at 11 a.m. Church Mutual Insurance Company is providing a tent that will hold 1,000 people, chairs, a stage and a sound system. Flowers Flowers of Cedar Park, Texas, has donated 500 roses for each mother present. Unruh is asking that this information be passed along if anyone is in contact with any residents of Greensburg or the surrounding area.

Brown named new men's basketball coach
For seven seasons, Andrew Brown has played the role of a construction worker as he helped build the men’s basketball program at Northwestern Oklahoma State University as a student assistant coach and later as a full-time assistant coach.

Beginning July 1, Brown will become the architect of the program as he has been appointed as the new head coach of the Rangers, replacing Bob Battisti, who is becoming athletic director.

Alumni office taking orders
for special 110/100 throw

The spring semester at Northwestern Oklahoma State University may have come to a close, but the celebration of the state’s centennial and the university’s 110th anniversary continues.

A special, limited edition throw has been created to commemorate the events of the combined celebration, and members of the university’s 110/100 Centennial Committee would like to give everyone a chance to place their orders.  Read more...

Northwestern among institutions
recognized by Oklahoma State Regents
Northwestern Oklahoma State University was among 22 institutions throughout the state recently recognized for their outstanding partnerships with community businesses. The university was cited by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education for its work with the Ketterman Simulation Laboratory located at the Enid campus.  Read more...

Rodeo team to prepare
for College National Finals
For the next six weeks, the Northwestern Oklahoma State University rodeo team will be preparing for its largest representation ever at the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR).

By virtue of finishing second in the Central Plains Region team competition, the men will send a full complement of five competitors as a team in the rodeo. The CNFR will be held June 10-16 in Casper, Wyo.  Read more...

Battisti announced as athletic director,
will step down as men's basketball coach

After one of the most successful seasons in his 21-year tenure as head men’s basketball coach at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Bob Battisti will relinquish his coaching duties to become the school’s athletic director.
