10, 2007 Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s third annual Assessment Day for all students and employees is scheduled for Wednesday, April 11. Employee workshops, as well as student tests and surveys, will take place at various times throughout the day. No daytime classes will take place to allow all Northwestern students and employees to participate in their particular areas. All night classes will take place at their regular times.
April 6, 2007 for presidential investiture ![]() When Dr. Janet Cunningham is formally invested as Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s 19th president, the ceremony will feature a mace newly-crafted by Dr. Jerry Brownrigg, professor emeritus of technology. The mace is one of the traditional symbols of office that will be used during ceremonies beginning at 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 13, at Percefull Fieldhouse in Alva. State leaders in government and higher education, along with delegates from other colleges and universities are expected to attend. A reception will follow in the Student Center Ballroom. The public is invited to both events. April 10, 2007 for upcoming NAS Art Show Pre-entry forms are due April 12 for any Northwestern Oklahoma State University student or employee wanting to enter the Fourth Annual Northwestern Art Society (NAS) Art Show, which is scheduled to take place April 19-29 in the J.W. April 5, 2007 statue of Ranger horse on Enid campus Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s most treasured symbol – the bucking horse and its rider – is about take on new life on its Enid campus. Northwestern announced Wednesday that Enid businessman Harold Hamm will fund the creation of a bronze statue of the horse and rider that will become a focal point of the Enid campus and an enduring symbol of Ranger pride. April 10, 2007 The first Ranger Research Day at Northwestern Oklahoma State University was described as a “resounding success” by Dr. Rodney Murrow, director of the event. More than 30 entries were received from students and professors. Each researcher prepared a 4’ x 4’ poster that illustrated the study and an abstract that outlined the project. Read more... working hard since the fall semester to get ready for this show.
The three-hour production will be performed in Herod Hall Auditorium April 26 and 27 at 7 p.m and April 28 at 1 p.m. Tickets are now available in the Northwestern-Alva Business Office. Prices include $5 for Northwestern students with a current ID, $8 for Northwestern employees and $10 for the general public. Read more...
