Springtime anticipated for
NWOSU's green space area
It may be difficult to imagine springtime images in the middle of winter, but Spring 2007 is much anticipated at Northwestern Oklahoma State University – especially on the northwest corner of campus.

University grounds employees have been diligently working on the green space area left after the demolition and removal of Oklahoma Hall, and come spring weather, the area literally will come to life.

A concrete walking path already is in place and a sprinkler unit is being installed, complete with a drip irrigation system for trees that was purchased with funds from a grant from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. Trees and shrubs made possible through the grant are being planted now, and as the last freeze in this area gets closer, flowers will be added. As the spring growing season arrives, a brand new look will come to life welcoming everyone to share in its beauty. The space also has plans for benches that most likely will be added during the spring or summer.  Read more...

The site plan for Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s green space area on the northwest corner of campus shows what the location will eventually look like once all the work is complete.
