MANAGING DIVERSE WORKFORCE TIPS TO BE GIVEN APRIL 1 AT NORTHWESTERN

            Tips on managing a diverse workforce will be presented at Northwestern Oklahoma State University Tuesday, April 1, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Student Center. Cost to attend is $15 and will include dinner.

            Attendees who pre-register for “Focusing on a Multi-Generational Workforce” and pay their fee before Monday, March 24, will receive a free copy of the book “When Generations Collide: Who They Are. Why They Clash. How to Solve the Generational Puzzle at Work.

            Fran Topping from the Gordon Cooper Technology Center in Shawnee will speak about the characteristics of Generation X, Generation Y, Millennials, Baby Boomers and Traditionalists and how their generations affect the workplace.

This workshop is being presented through the Northwestern-Walch Center for Business Development (CBD) and Career Services’ partnership with the Northwest Technology Center, REI, Alva Area Chamber of Commerce and the Oklahoma Department of Commerce-Business Solutions Division.

            “We encourage everyone to register and attend the workshop,” said Dr. Patti Wilber, associate dean for economic development and director of the CBD.
