COMMUNITY SUMMER BAND SEEKING MEMBERS

            Area musicians are asked to dust off their instruments and join fellow players this summer in the Alva Community Band.

            Dr. Kathryn Lindberg, director of bands at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, said the first rehearsal will be held Monday [May 12], with subsequent rehearsals each Monday. The sessions will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Room 310 of the Fine Arts Building. She said that instruments can be provided for those participants who need them.

            Lindberg encourages musicians of all ages to join the group.

            A public performance will be presented later in the summer at a location and time to be announced later.
