NORTHWESTERN SPANISH CLUB FUNDRAISER SERVING UP TUESDAY MEAL

The Northwestern Oklahoma State University Spanish Club is offering a chance to dine out Tuesday, Dec. 4, prior to the Rangers vs. Oklahoma Christian double-header basketball game.

For only $5, the Spanish Club’s Taco Dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Student Center Ranger Room will have available a combination plate of enchilada, taco, rice, spicy layered bean dip, baked potato and chili. For dessert, the club is offering polvorones, a popular cookie from Mexico made by the mother of one of Spanish instructor Lupita Sinnes’ students.

Sinnes said this is the second fundraising dinner the club has sponsored, and it plans to do one every semester.

All monies raised will go to help fund a scholarship for a Northwestern student majoring in Spanish.

All Spanish Club members, as well as all students from Spanish classes, currently are selling tickets to the dinner.

For more information or for a ticket, contact Sinnes at (580) 327-8464 or ggsinnes@nwosu.edu. Her office is located in Vinson Hall, room 121.
