NORTHWESTERN ART SOCIETY KICKING OFF FUNDRAISER

Believe it or not, Christmas is right around the corner, and the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Art Society (NAS) is offering a fundraiser to help take the stress out of locating the perfect gift.

Beginning this week, members of NAS have available a 48-page brochure containing more than 200 gift and food items that could make gift-buying a lot easier. Included in the unique selection are kitchen accessories, scented candles, jewelry, holiday and all-occasion gift wrap, items for kids, “High School Musical” items, spring flower bulbs, magazines published in English and Spanish, World’s Finest boxed chocolates, car and pet accessories, holiday decorations and more.

Items in the brochure range in price from $6.50 to $35 with 75 percent of the items listed being $15 or less.

“We thought by going with this fundraiser, it would bring different products to the community, while at the same time, help our organization to raise funds for our annual art show in April and for our members to take trips to various points of interest,” Angelia Case, NAS sponsor, said. “Through this fundraiser, our organization will receive 50 percent of the profit from total sales, so I hope everyone will consider making a purchase. The brochure seems to have a lot variety, whether you’re thinking of Christmas or just something to tell someone they are appreciated.”

NAS will end its sale on Friday, Nov. 2, so the group will have time to organize the orders and return the forms to the company. Delivery of the items should take place before the end of the fall semester, so products can be delivered before everyone leaves campus for the break.

NAS club members will have brochures, and the club also has a link to a PDF of the catalog on its web site at www.nwosu.edu/art. If anyone is interested in making a purchase after looking through the pages, please contact Case at (580) 327-8577 or arcase@nwosu.edu so a club member can return the call. Lori Coonrod has agreed to help the club with its sales at the Enid campus, and Joy Radke and Linda Phillips are helping at the Woodward campus.
