POLITICAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT
HOSTING LAW SCHOOL REPRESENTATIVE

A representative from the University of Oklahoma School of Law will be at Northwestern Oklahoma State University Nov. 27 to discuss different aspects of attending law school.

Stanley Evans, dean of the law school, will be in the Struckle Education Center, room 102, from noon to 2 p.m. It also will be broadcast via ITV to Enid 210 and Woodward studio D.

This session is sponsored by the university’s political science department and is informal on a come and go basis. Anyone who is interested is welcome to attend.

Evans is a retired colonel from the U.S. Army. He graduated from Douglas High School, went on to the University of Central Oklahoma to receive a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He received his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas.

He also is a decorated Vietnam War veteran and has received the Bronze Star. He received a commendation from Governor Brad Henry for his work on human rights in 2003 and has published an article in the African American Law School Survival Guide. He is a member of the Tulsa Bar Association.

Dr. Aaron Mason, assistant professor of political science, thinks this will be a good opportunity for students to learn the ins and outs of applying for law school
