NORTHWESTERN’S RYAN HINTERGARDT SCORES IN NAIA COMPETITION

            Ryan Hintergardt, sports information director for Northwestern Oklahoma State University, has won four awards in the annual publication contests of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and Sports Information Directors Association (NAIA-SIDA).

            Hintergardt placed third in the combined (men’s and women’s) basketball brochure contest, seventh in the women’s soccer category, ninth in the football category and 10th in the baseball category.

            Angelia Case, instructional media technician, designed the covers for Hintergardt’s publications.

            The NAIA-SIDA conducts contests for season brochures and game day programs in all the sports played in the NAIA, as well as for websites and season preview/review and feature writing. The competition is open to all of the nearly 300 members of the NAIA. Of those members, 90 schools have football programs, 97 have basketball, 205 have baseball and 213 have women’s soccer.
