More than 40 Northwestern band students arrived on campus early to take in a week-long early rehearsal schedule to get themselves ready for the upcoming marching season during Ranger football games. The students were marching and rehearsing music during the mornings and evenings each day in the parking lot of Ranger Field. Thursday, the group moved to the lawn area west of the Wellness Center for rehearsals where they will continue to have their daily practices. Yard lines are being marked on the lawn to allow the band to rehearse on grass. Once school begins, the band will be rehearsing on the lawn every day at noon, bringing the sounds of the "Spirit of Northwest Oklahoma" closer to campus.
