NORTHWESTERN WELLNESS CENTER TO SPONSOR
‘100 DAYS OF SUMMER WALKING CHALLENGE’

To promote good health and physical fitness, the Northwestern Oklahoma State University J.R. Holder Wellness Center is sponsoring the “100 Days of Summer Walking Challenge.”

The challenge will begin May 7 and end Aug. 14. The winner(s) will be determined by the total steps walked either on the track or on treadmills at the conclusion of the 100-day contest.

Walking logs kept at the front desk of the Wellness Center will be used to determine the total number of steps walked. Pedometers that can be checked out at the front desk will be used to measure the steps of each session. Exercise done outside the Wellness Center will not be eligible for the contest and walking is the only activity that will count.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers.

Entrants may sign up at the front desk at the Wellness Center. For more information, contact Shawna Copenhaver, Wellness Center director, at (580) 327-8105 or sacopenhaver@nwosu.edu, or Lendi Gourley, assistant director, at (580) 327-8109 or ldgourley@nwosu.edu.
