NORTHWESTERN STUDENT TEACHERS IN AREA CLASSROOMS

            Thirty education majors at Northwestern Oklahoma State University began student teaching Sept. 18 in schools in Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana.

            In addition to their practice teaching duties, the students will return to campus for seminars on Oct. 25 and on Dec. 11. Their portfolio assessment exit interviews will be Dec. 12-15. The last day of student teaching will be Dec. 15, and the semester will end on Dec. 18.

            Northwestern education faculty members also will monitor the student teaching of Melissa Crowder, a student at Newman University in Wichita. She is assigned to Horace Mann Elementary in Woodward.
