NORTHWESTERN STUDENTS HOLD STATE PBL OFFICES

Two Northwestern Oklahoma State University students were among officers of the state Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) club who met last month for an intensive training and planning session. PBL is a professional business organization for university and college students.

Linh Tran of Hanoi, Vietnam, a senior business administration major, serves as four-year vice president. Cammie Vloedman of Edmond, a graduate student in business education, is the state webmaster. Vloedman will serve as president of the local chapter of PBL during the upcoming school year.

Brenda Rebarchik, instructor in business and a sponsor of the local chapter, also attended the meeting.

Rebarchik said she personally learned a lot about developing team leaders and how to encourage teamwork at the local level. She also learned about the history of PBL as an organization and plans to investigate the history of the Northwestern chapter.

“I am really excited about this next year,” Rebarchik said. “I believe that you will see some exciting things happening with our Northwestern PBL chapter.”
