TRICK SHOT POOL ARTIST COMING TO NORTHWESTERN

Internationally famous pocket billiard and trick shot artist Jack White will be coming to Northwestern on the evening of April 5.

White, who is on a national tour, will be in Alva’s Coronado Hall front lobby at 6 p.m. to perform some of his spectacular trick shots and take on any willing “pool sharks” from the crowd.

Eric Wheeler, Student Government Association (SGA) president, said the comedian will be sure to capture the audience’s attention with crowd interaction and humor that will raise some good laughs, make everyone feel comfortable and have a good time.

White has been playing pool since age 8 and is a former pocket billiards world champion.  He has impressive high-runs in eight ball of 18 straight racks and 21 straight racks in nine ball.  He has even played a perfect game of snooker, scoring 147.

White is a professional billiards instructor and has been doing a yearly tour of colleges and universities for more than 30 years. He has performed for numerous military installations, been on many television shows, been featured in magazines and has even been invited to the White House.

White was the first to introduce “Pocket Billiard Clinics” and has authored several books on pocket billiards and trick shots. White also will have DVDs about billiards and his famous trick shots available for purchase at the exhibition.

Admission is free to all Northwestern students, employees and alumni. For more information, contact the SGA office at (580) 327-8625 or by e-mail at sga@nwosu.edu. Those interested also may join the Facebook event titled “Trick Shot Pool Artist Jack White.”
