NORTHWESTERN PEP RALLY TO RAISE HOMECOMING SPIRIT
A pep rally at 10:45 a.m., Friday will allow students and fans of Northwestern Oklahoma State University athletic programs to get vocal and cheer for their teams as the homecoming football game approaches.
The pep rally will feature the Ranger band and cheerleaders and will start with a welcome from Dr. Janet Cunningham, university president, and Brad Franz, dean of student affairs and enrollment management.
Head football coach Fred Slaughter and several of his players will address the crowd, as will soccer coach Steve Barrows and some members of his team, and cross country coach Cody Hooper and members of his team.
Dr. Mike Knedler, general chairman of homecoming, will give a brief rundown of homecoming events still to come and the rally will end with the rousing “Ride, Rangers, Ride” fight song.
Northwestern will play Texas College at 3 p.m., Saturday at Ranger Field.
Everyone is invited to the rally, which is expected to last about 15 minutes.
