NORTHWESTERN TO PRESENT JAZZ BAND CONCERT

            Can you name that tune?

            That will be the question Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. when Northwestern Oklahoma State University presents an audience-participation jazz band concert. The event is free, and the public is invited.

            Dr. Kathryn Lindberg, director of bands at Northwestern, said the jazz band would be going back in time to play jazz standards of the past. The audience will be asked to identify the songs being played, and those who correctly “name that tune” will be entered into a drawing for prizes.

            “Obviously, I can’t provide a list of the songs to be played,” Lindberg said. “Everyone will have to come to see what the program will be.”
