FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE January 24, 2007
NORTHWESTERN RESCHEDULES GRADUATE SEMINAR
Northwestern Oklahoma State University has announced new dates and times for the EDUC 5010 Graduate Study Seminar originally scheduled for Jan. 12 and 13.
“Because of the recent series of weekend winter storms, we had to postpone the required seminar,” said Dr. Rodney Murrow, associate dean for graduate studies. “We now have a new schedule with sessions in Alva, Enid, Woodward and Ponca City. These sessions are not available via ITV, but students may attend any one of the four meetings depending on their personal schedules.”
The new meeting times are:
Ponca City: Monday, Feb. 12, 5-8 p.m., Computer Lab 235.
Enid: Tuesday, Feb. 13, 5-8 p.m., Computer Lab 216.
Woodward: Monday, Feb. 19, 5-8 p.m., Computer Lab.
Alva: Thursday, Feb. 22, 5-8 p.m., Room 101 (Computer Lab) Education Center.
Murrow said that all graduate students are required to attend one of the sessions. Students in the master’s of counseling psychology program will be required to attend only from 5 to 6 p.m. Master’s of education students will need to attend the entire three-hour session because of LiveText e-Portfolio development training.
He also reminds education students that they must purchase the LiveText license, available at the Northwestern Bookstore, prior to attending the seminar.
Murrow said that any students who already have taken the EDUC 5010 seminar are invited to attend the LiveText component of any session for additional assistance in the development of their graduate portfolios.
Students with calendar conflicts should contact Murrow as soon as possible at (580) 327-8589 or rcmurrow@nwosu.edu.
