FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 28, 2007
FRESHMAN CONNECTION SET FOR APRIL 18
High school seniors and parents will be on campus for Freshman Connection Wednesday, April 18. This day is designed for students who are planning to attend Northwestern Oklahoma State University in fall 2007.
The layout of the day has changed this year, but still offers students an opportunity to see the campus, meet with faculty and enroll early for the fall semester. There will be a morning session and an afternoon session. The morning session begins at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude at noon. The afternoon session will begin at 1:30 p.m. and conclude at 4:30 p.m. The sessions include registration, campus welcome, advisement time and optional parent and campus tours.
“This day is more tailored to the individual and shortens the length of the day for students,” said Matt Adair, director of recruitment. “It’s designed for people who can’t commit to an entire day.”
Before students can enroll they must complete an application for admission and pay the $15 application fee, provide a copy of the seven-semester high school transcript and provide proof of ACT scores.
“Anyone considering attending Northwestern should attend Freshman Connection and know that it is an incredible opportunity to meet with an adviser, get questions answered and put together your college course schedule,” Adair said.
Students can register the day of the event or online at www.nwosu.edu/recruit/freshmanconnection.html.
