Door prizes will be awarded and families can register to win prizes from the Northwestern Bookstore for having traveled the longest distance to attend. The “distance” winners will be announced at halftime of the football game.
All day on Friday and on Saturday morning, students can go to the Northwestern Bookstore to register their families to receive free tickets to Saturday afternoon’s football game.
Families will be able to visit classrooms and tour other university facilities as all campus buildings will be open beginning at 8 a.m. The Northwestern Natural History Museum on the second floor of Jesse Dunn will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A tailgate cookout will begin at 11:30 a.m. on the third tier of the south parking area of Ranger Field. The $3 meal will consist of hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, cookies and a drink. The Ranger football team then takes the field against Langston University at 1 p.m.
Families are invited to visit participating Alva merchants and register to win tuition waivers for the spring semester. No purchase is necessary and families can register at each of the stores.
