NORTHWESTERN, OTHER REGIONAL UNIVERSITIES,
TO CELEBRATE ACCOMPLISHMENTS AT CENTENNIAL GALA

Northwestern Oklahoma State University, along with the five other universities in the Regional University System of Oklahoma, will celebrate their many successes with a “Best of the Best” dinner and celebration on Monday, April 30, at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City.

The event is being held as part of Oklahoma’s Centennial celebration and will feature entertainment provided by the students and faculty of the regional universities. Cast members from the upcoming musical “Oklahoma” will represent Northwestern and perform selections from the show.

A video presentation featuring Northwestern graduates Dr. Brock Schnebel and Steve Stands also will be featured during the event.

“The ‘Best of the Best’ event provides a great opportunity to showcase the contributions Northwestern graduates have made to Oklahoma,” said Dr. Janet Cunningham, university president. “A strong representation at the event by Northwestern alumni and supporters will send a clear message to Oklahoma leaders that our university is the foundation for building a stronger, more vibrant quality of life for northwestern Oklahoma.”

Northwestern staff members Steve Valencia, associate vice president for university relations, and Audra Qualls, coordinator of special events, have served on the planning committee for the event, along with Lizabeth Richey, director of the Northwestern Alumni Association.

A reception starts at 5:30 p.m. with dinner following at 7 p.m.
