CARDINAL KEY HONOR SOCIETY INITIATES NEW MEMBERS

            Cardinal Key Honor Society at Northwestern Oklahoma State University recently initiated 11 new members.

            The are Mindy Deal, Laverne junior; Gordon Patton, Ponca City senior; Christine Fry, Bartlesville senior; James Quillin, Caldwell, Kan., junior; Christin Phelps, Houston, Texas, senior; Erin Davis, Lakenheath, England, junior; Eric Wheeler, Enid junior; Kristi Murrow, Alva junior; Kasey Fowler, Mesa, Ariz., junior, Megan Fowler, Mesa, Ariz., senior; and Blair Hollaway, Sand Springs junior.

            To become a member of Cardinal Key, students must be juniors or seniors, have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and be “a leader of good personality, character and prominence in extracurricular activities.”

            The organization’s purposes are to recognize achievement in scholarship and extracurricular activities; to advance personal growth, patriotism and service by affording training for leadership in the college community, and to develop worthy character by application of the cardinal virtues of living.

            Cardinal Key was organized in May 1932 as a nationwide honor sorority for college or university women. In 1976, it opened its membership to both men and women.
