SYMPHONIC BAND TO PRESENT SUNDAY CONCERT
The Northwestern Oklahoma State University symphonic band will present a free concert at 3 p.m., Sunday, in Herod Hall Auditorium. The concert will feature music that relates to Oklahoma, and the public is invited to attend.
Oklahoma composers to include Roland Barrett and former Northwestern band director Ed Huckeby will be included in the program. Also, Kevin Kerr, Conway Springs, Kan., senior, who will star as Curley next week in the university’s production of Oklahoma!, will be on hand to sing a couple of songs from the musical.
Cara Bradt of Alva, Erin Grim of Fairview and Adam Treeman of Enid will be recognized as senior band members performing their last concert.
The concert will end with Jay Bocook’s “As All the Heavens Were a Bell,” featuring both the band and university chorale.
