NORTHWESTERN TO HAVE ZOOLOGICAL SCIENCE RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM
Northwestern Oklahoma State University will play host to a Zoological Science Research Symposium from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, in the Science Amphitheater.
Dr. Steve Thompson, associate professor of biology, and Dr. Aaron Place, assistant professor of biology, will be leading the symposium. There will be poster and oral presentation sessions. Topics that will be presented are Biology of Inca Doves, Comparative Phylogenetic Analyses of Deer Social Behavior, Comparative Phylogenetic Analyses of Snake Defensive Behavior and Distribution of Wild Turkeys in Oklahoma.
Other topics discussed will be Factors Influencing Calf Roping Success by Collegiate Ropers, Food Preferences in Local Passerine Birds and a Population Study of the Ring-necked Pheasant in Northwest Oklahoma.
