NORTHWESTERN CONTRIBUTES
ROOM SCHOLARSHIPS
TO THE MISS EDMOND LIBERTYFEST PAGEANT
Northwestern Oklahoma State University has contributed three $1,000 room scholarships to The Miss Edmond LibertyFest scholarship pageant in June.
The pageant will take place on June 24 at 7 p.m. in Mitchell Hall on the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. The competition is open statewide and is one of 11 elements to Edmond’s Fourth of July festival.
Candidates must be at least 17 years of age and have completed their junior year of high school as of June 2006 and can be no older than 23 years of age as of Sept. 30, 2006.
Contestants will compete in the categories of interview, on-stage question, talent, physical fitness and evening wear. The winner of the pageant will go on to compete in the Miss Oklahoma Pageant in June of 2007 where she will be able to compete for additional scholarship assistance.
The winner of the title will receive a $3,000 cash scholarship to be used toward her education. First runner-up will receive $1,500, second runner-up, $750, third runner-up, $500, and fourth runner-up, $250. Should a student planning to attend or currently attending Northwestern win one of the top three spots, they also will receive $1,000 room scholarships from Northwestern.
