Terri Brown accepts her prize for submitting the winning idea in Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s homecoming theme contest. Dr. Mike Knedler, chair of the general homecoming committee, makes the presentation.

THEME, HONORARY PARADE MARSHAL SET FOR NORTHWESTERN’S HOMECOMING

            Students, friends and fans of Northwestern Oklahoma State University will be invited to “Get Your Kicks in 2006” during the university’s homecoming celebration set for Nov. 2-4. The football opponent will be Texas

 College.

            The theme was submitted by Terri Brown during the homecoming committee’s theme contest. For her idea, she has received $25 in Alva Chamber of Commerce Chamber Bucks in lieu of the $50 savings bond prize.

            Jim Barker, 1961 graduate, retired educator and sports columnist with the Alva Review-Courier, has accepted the committee’s invitation to serve as honorary parade marshal.
