BEST OF SHOW WINNERS ANNOUNCED FOR ART SOCIETY ART SHOW 

            A Northwestern Oklahoma State University student’s black and white photography and a Northwestern employee’s watercKayte Anton's digital photographs of Lauren Casteel won Best of Show in the student entries.olor have won the Best of Show honors at the Northwestern Art Society (NAS) art show taking place in the J.W. Martin Library through May 2.

            Kayte Anton, Norco, Calif., senior, placed first in the Photography-Digital category and won the Graphics Division award for student entries. Her black and white photographs of Lauren Casteel were named the Best of Show from all student division winners. Anton will receive $75 for Best of Show, $50 for the division and $15 for first place.

            Kelley Black, technical services assistant in the Enid library, placed first in the Watercolor category and won the Flatworks Division award for employee entries. Her watercolor named “Quilts & Apples” was named Best of Show from all employee division winners.

            All students winning first place will receive a $15 prize, and all students winning a Division award will receive $50.Kelley Black's watercolor named Quilts & Apples won the Best of Show for employee entries.

            A “People’s Choice” award will be named following the counting of votes Thursday at 5 p.m. Both students and employees are eligible for this $50 prize.

            Students may pick up their prize money from Angelia Case, NAS adviser, in the Media Center located in the basement of Vinson Hall.

            All art work must be picked up from the library on May 2. If unable to pick up entries on this day, please make arrangements with Case by calling 327-8577 or e-mailing arcase@nwosu.edu.

            Students winning their respective divisions include Textiles, Joe Roever, Hawaii Ribbon Lei; Graphics, Kayte Anton, Lauren photographs; 3-D/Functional, Nick Lyon, Oak Natural Top Bowl; and Flatworks, Tiffany Holt, The Engagement.

            Employees winning their respective divisions include Textiles, Mary Beth Buford, Yellow Brick Road quilt; Graphics, Rod Murrow, Butterfly photograph; 3-D Functional, Jerry Brownrigg, Mesquite Bowl; and Flatworks, Kelly Black, Quilts & Apples watercolor.
