FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                                          March 24, 2004

OPENINGS STILL AVAILABLE IN FREE COMPUTER WORKSHOP

Space is still available for members of the Northwestern and Alva communities in a free workshop to learn more about the basics of working with e-mail and the Internet. The workshop is being conducted by the E-Club at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.

The club’s community service project is Saturday, March 27, from 10 a.m. to noon in Room 101 of the Struckle Education Center. There are a limited number of spots available, so registration is needed soon. Participants must be at least 18 years old.

Cammie Vloedman, E-Club president, said that those attending should have basic computer knowledge such as using a mouse and navigating the start menu. Participants will learn how to organize files, send e-mail attachments and more as time permits.

“We wanted to do something for the community to help move people into the future with technology,” Vloedman said. “We’ll see how this workshop goes, and, if it turns out well, we might expand upon it next year by offering a beginning, as well as advanced workshop.”

Registration may be made by calling Bhanumurthy Reddy, instructor of E-commerce, at (580) 327-8440.
