ARAPAHO COWBOY SIGNS WITH NORTHWESTERN
Cody Kreizenbeck of Arapaho has signed a National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association letter of intent to attend Northwestern Oklahoma State University in the fall.
“Cody is dedicated to the sport of rodeo and is willing to make the sacrifices that it takes to be a true champion,” said Tim Kolb, Northwestern rodeo coach. “He has a great work ethic in and out of the arena and we’re proud that he chose Northwestern.”
Kreizenbeck will major in agri-business with an emphasis on livestock production. After graduation, he plans to raise bucking bulls while competing at the professional level of bull riding.
He is the 2001 Junior Rodeo Cowboys Association (JRCA) bull riding champion, the 2002 JRCA year-end bull riding champion, the 2002 Northwestern Oklahoma Junior Rodeo bull riding reserve champion and was one of the top five bull riders with the Oklahoma High School Rodeo Association in 2002-03.
Kreizenbeck was the bull riding champion of the 41st annual Springdale, Ark., junior rodeo that included riders from Florida, South Dakota, Nebraska, Missouri and Oklahoma.
He has been listed in Who’s Who Among American High School Students regular and sports editions and has been named to the National Honor Roll for the past three years. He also is active in the First Church of God in Clinton.
He is the son of Chris and Charlotte Kreizenbeck of Arapaho.
