Welcome to the School of Professional Studies! The departments and divisions within the School offer a total of 15 majors and 15 minors at the undergraduate level and a Master of Counseling Psychology (MCP) and a Master of Education (MEd) at the graduate level. Both the MCP and the MEd offer various licensure and certification options. Programs at both the undergraduate and the graduate levels are generally aimed at preparing students for specific professions and are often linked to certification and/or licensure requirements such as LPC, RN, or licensure for public school teaching. Due to the public’s demand for accountability in the professionals they employ many of our programs undergo external review through national and state accreditation entities. Our Teacher Education Program which is housed in the Division of Education is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and approved by the Oklahoma Commission for Teacher Preparation (OCTP). Our Nursing Division is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc. (NLNAC) and approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN). The Business Division is accredited with the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
