Looking for a free, fun and entertaining Friday evening event? Committee members from Northwestern Creativity Project’s “Picture My Weekend” encourage the public to attend the free photography show on Friday, July 23, from 7-9 p.m. at the Runnymede Hotel in downtown Alva.
More than 100 photos will be on display for viewing. The public will have the opportunity to enjoy music from the Max Ridgway Jazz Trio, and refreshments will be served by the Nescatunga ladies.
The free photography show is offered in conjunction with a workshop that will begin with check-in at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, and the first set of roundtable workshops begin at 9 a.m. Free online registration will remain open until July 20. After July 20, there will be a $20 registration fee. An online registration form is available at www.nwosu.edu/photog-registration. The workshop is limited to the first 60 people and is almost full.
Participants who have already registered are coming from across the state of Oklahoma, southern Kansas and from as far away as Norman and Lone Wolf.
Those who are registered for the Saturday event will be encouraged to go out into the Alva community to take photographs to be included in a slide show, a finale of the day’s events.
For additional information, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Information also is available online at www.nwosu.edu/picture-my-weekend.
