It's Homecoming Week at Northwestern! Ride, Rangers, Ride! So much happening around here. And, the 60th year of the Miss Cinderella Pageant kicks off tonight at 7:30 in Herod Hall Auditorium!
Homecoming Buttons
The button you see at right will get you into both night's of the Miss Cinderella Pageant and the football game on Saturday. Buttons are $10. Get one for discounted admission (it's a $26 value) or merely a keepsake for the event. You also get discounts at local businesses for wearing one this week! Button sales are the primary source of funding for being able to produce Homecoming at Northwestern, so even if you're not sure you can make it to an event, the Northwestern Homecoming committee appreciates that you are buying them! You can see more about where to get a button in one of the linked articles below.

Homecoming T-shirts

Homecoming T-shirts also are available for purchase for one for $12 or two for $20. If you're wearing a Homecoming button, you'll get $1 off your total purchase amount! Shirts are available in the Northwestern Foundation & Alumni Association office in the northwest corner of the Student Center or Rialto Theatre. In Enid or Woodward, the business offices on the both campuses are taking orders.
Ranger Run
If you like to run...or walk... you might be interested in the Ranger Run, a 5K race, or the One Mile Fun Run/Walk. Both races start in front of the Rialto Theatre at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1. The pre-registration deadline has passed, but if you want to participate, show up before 8 a.m. to register for $20 for the 5K and $15 for the Fun Run. Participants receive free Homecoming shirts, and winners are presented with medals.
Alumni Band
If you were in the band at any time while at Northwestern, you should bring your horn and play in the Alumni Band. Rehearsal for Alumni Band will be at 1 p.m. on Oct. 1 in the newly renovated band room on the third floor of the Fine Arts Building. After rehearsal, the band will head to the game, which starts at 3 p.m., and will entertain the crowd until halftime.
Homecoming Dance
And, if you're not ready to call it quits on Homecoming after the ballgame Saturday, a Homecoming Dance will be at the Woods County Fairgrounds from 8 p.m. to Midnight. Reserved tables for eight people must be spoken for by the end of today, but you can pay at the door to get into the dance. Tickets are $10. See more info in the article link below.

Blood drive for Bradley
Northwestern alum Bradley Gilbert is once again battling leukemia. Northwestern has scheduled blood drives at its Enid and Alva campuses, and all blood donations will be credited to him (see article below). Please consider giving blood on Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Enid Commons Area, or in the Student Center Ranger Room on the Alva campus on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 5-6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you're not able to give at the Northwestern drives, please consider giving blood or platelets at any Oklahoma Blood Institute office across the state of Oklahoma, and tell them you'd like your donation to be credited to Bradley Gilbert.
Employee Softball Game
Faculty and Staff - if you're interested in playing in the Employee Softball game on Oct. 4 at 5:30 p.m. at Myers Stadium, please contact David Washington at dcwashington@nwosu.edu. Everyone is welcome to come out and cheer on the employees as they have a little fun.
