School from Weatherford coming to town Thursday
Northwestern Rangers, past and present, are gearing up for the doubleheader basketball game with rival Southwestern Thursday, Feb. 27, in Percefull Fieldhouse. The women tip at 5:30 p.m. with the men to follow at 7:30 p.m.
Spirit Week events gave you the practice you'd need to get ready for Rivalry Week. The University provided 700 of you with free Blackout shirts. This would be an ideal time to have another "Blackout" event. If you didn't get a shirt, just come to the game dressed in black. Paint your faces, bring your signs, get loud (but respectful and no artificial noisemakers), and make Percefull Fieldhouse rock with noise!
The Ranger Band also will have a few special guests in attendance at
this game as alumni band members and friends will help provide an
enthusiastic atmosphere suited for Rivalry Week.
Pioneer Telephone Cooperative, Inc., is having a special Corporate Night Event during this game as well. Fans can register to win a chance to shoot a $10,000 half-court shot. The first 600 guests will receive a free gift, and Ranger cheerleaders will be throwing out free T-shirts.
One lucky Twitter follower of @pioneertelecoop in attendance will receive $100 for following them and using a hashtag that will be announced at the game. Fans must be in attendance to win and must be following @pioneertelecoop.
Remember this feeling from the victory in Weatherford? Let's bring the excitement to Percefull Fieldhouse Thursday night!
Softball, baseball doing well
And how about our Ranger Softball and Baseball teams?! Try to get out to the ballpark this season to cheer them on!

Photos in classroom, students having fun at campus activities requested
It's that time of year again when members of the University Relations Office need to update photos from around campus, in our classrooms and of our students enjoying campus activities.
Faculty: please let us know various days and times we could come into your classrooms to take photos and video while you teach and as the students are taking notes and interacting with each other. Contact Valarie Case at (580) 327-8486 or email@example.com.
Students: We'd love to use the photos you've taken with your phone or with your cameras while taking part in or watching the numerous on campus activities. We'd also like any images taken in university housing. Email your photos to firstname.lastname@example.org. Also students, like we asked last year, we'd love to see you post photos while sharing your story about what Northwestern means to you. Use the hashtag #NWMyStory on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. After posting to social media, please email your comments and photos to email@example.com as well. Your photos/info may be used in our social media and in our publications.
