  • NWTV Channel 7 is the campus television station that provides a well-rounded media experience in television broadcasting.
  • NWTV provides news, information, video and music to students,faculty and staff of Northwestern Oklahoma State University as well as the Alva community on Cable Channel 7.
  • NWTV produces weekly newscasts during Fall and Spring semesters.
  • NWTV produces and airs special programs including the annual Miss Cinderella pageant, Music Department productions, Miss Northwestern, sporting events, commencement and many others.
  • NWTV has the capability to go "LIVE" if the situation warrants.
  • NWTV facilities are on the cutting edge of technology. Our production are produced in a newly renovated and up-to-date facility with three sets. We make every effort to have the latest equipment for students to work with.

In the studio...


The NWTV Studio houses 3 different sets with commercial quality lighting and four cameras. Three pedestal cameras and one boom camera for special effect.

7 News anchors and reporters are able to utilize various sets during stand-ups and interview segments.









During newscasts anchors and reporters move around the studio to various sets in order to make the show more visually appealing.


         Final preperations take place moments before 7 News goes on the air.








 All on-air and crew positions are filled by students. Some students are on staff and get paid to do their job while they learn.
