Woods County Fair patrons will have the opportunity to get their blood pressure checked, get an athlete’s autograph and register for prizes at Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s booth in the Merchants Building Sept. 4-6.
Members of the university’s nursing program will be at the booth from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday and 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, to provide blood pressure checks as a service to the community.
Members of the Ranger soccer team will take a turn at the booth from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Anyone who stops by the Northwestern booth will have the opportunity to sign up for a variety of prizes to be given away each day of the fair. Prizes include Northwestern T-shirts, pairs of season tickets to the Northwest Oklahoma Concert Series, Northwestern homecoming buttons, one-year subscriptions to the Northwestern News and much more.
A one-year membership in the Alumni Association will be awarded to a Northwestern graduate each night of the fair.
Other prizes include tickets to the upcoming concert featuring “Red.” Tickets are on sale now for $10 and available on all three Northwestern campuses in Alva, Enid and Woodward. “Red” will perform on Oct. 1, at 8 p.m., in Percefull Fieldhouse, Alva.
Members of the faculty and staff will be at the booth from 3 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday to answer questions about Northwestern.
