  • Northwestern to begin summer work hours on May 22; specified offices to be an exception

    May 8, 2017 – All Northwestern Oklahoma State University locations will begin summer work hours starting Monday, May 22, through Thursday, July 27. A majority of employees will work four, 10-hour days from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with Fridays off.

    March 4, 2013 -- Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Woodward campus is partnering with Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) to ask all area residents to give blood on Wednesday, March 6, and Thursday, March 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at a blood drive that will occur at 2007 34th Street in Woodward.

    March 16, 2012 -- Paul Lord, a 1972 Northwestern Oklahoma State University alumnus, recently presented his uniquely-designed graphic art photography of Northwestern-Woodward to Dr. Janet Cunningham, president.  It currently is displayed in the business office at the Woodward campus.

    Nov. 10, 2011 - The Northwestern Oklahoma State University men’s basketball team is headed to Woodward Wednesday, Nov. 16, for the Ranger Roundball Classic, and Northwestern alumni and friends are invited to a pregame reception in the Woodward High School Media Center.

    November 3, 2011 - As part of Native American Month, Mimona Littlehawk-Sills will talk about honoring her ancestors during a program at Northwestern Oklahoma State University-Woodward on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. This free event will be broadcast via ITV to Northwestern-Alva, Education Center, room 108; Northwestern-Enid, room 210; and Ponca City, room 127.

  • 'Red Tie Affair' for alumni, friends to feature university choral groups March 8, Woodward

    Northwestern Oklahoma State University alumni and friends are invited to wear school colors to A Red Tie Affair on the campus of Northwestern Woodward Tuesday, March 8. The Greater Woodward Northwestern Oklahoma State University Alumni Task Force will host a reception for alumni and friends in the LaVern Phillips Executive Conference Room at 6:45 p.m. before attendees enjoy a special 7:30 p.m. performance by the University Singers and University Chorale.

  • Northwestern blood drives hope to decrease blood shortage

    With the decline in donations due to recent winter weather, the Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) has declared a blood emergency with less than a one-day supply. Northwestern Oklahoma State University wants to help OBI with the blood shortage and encourages all healthy donors to give blood at Northwestern-Woodward on Wednesday, Feb. 9, and Thursday, Feb.10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Nursing students receive electric beds from Woodward Regional Hospital

      Nursing students at Northwestern Oklahoma State University would like to thank the Woodward Regional Hospital for donating three electric beds and for providing continued support to the Northwestern-Woodward skills lab.  There are approximately 48 pre-nursing and nursing students at the Woodward campus.  Students will gain hand-on experience with these new beds.

    Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Social Work Department and Social Worker’s Association of Tomorrow (SWAT) are playing host to a community forum regarding keeping children safe on the Internet and from trafficking, on Sunday, Sept. 26, from 4-6:30 p.m. in the Northwestern-Woodward Commons Area.

  • Fisher appointed to state commission for women

    Dr. Deena Fisher, Northwestern Oklahoma State University-Woodward dean, has been appointed to serve on the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women. She will attend her first meeting as commissioner last Thursday at the capitol.
