Woodward Regional Hospital presented the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Department of Nursing with a donation to support the Student Nurses’ Association and the Northwest Honor Society for Nurses.

This money was raised through a silent auction on behalf of nurses during the hospital’s Nurses’ Week celebration in May.

Dr. Carole McKenzie, chair and associate professor of nursing, Dr. Deena Fisher, Northwestern-Woodward dean; Laura Sittler, chief nursing officer, and Lori Messenger, director of public relations, who are both employees of the Woodward Regional Hospital, were available for the presentation.

“We are thrilled to be beneficiaries of such a nice gift,” McKenzie said. “To be partners with the Woodward Regional Hospital in providing clinical experiences for our students, we are grateful.”
