April 24, 2012 -- Five seniors and six graduates from the Social Work program at Northwestern Oklahoma State University have been accepted into the advanced standing Masters of Social Work (MSW) program at the University of Oklahoma.

April 10, 2012 -- The Department of Social Work at Northwestern Oklahoma State University is honored to announce that Kylene Whiteman, Woodward senior, was named as the 2012 National Association of Social Workers-Oklahoma (NASW-OK) Undergraduate Student of the Year at the recent NASW-OK Annual State Conference.

In July, a student and faculty member from the Department of Social Work at Northwestern Oklahoma State University traveled to Louisiana to present at the 36th National Institute on Social Work and Human Services in Rural Areas.
