SHAWNEE, Okla. – Three players combined for 54 points, but that wasn’t enough as St. Gregory’s defeated the Lady Rangers, 89-84, in Shawnee on Wednesday night.
Trailing 45-39 at the half, Northwestern outscored St. Gregory’s 45-44 in the second half. The Lady Rangers shot 44 percent for the evening, but SGU converted 50 percent on the night. NWOSU was 11-of-24 from three-point range.
Audrey Richmond led the Lady Rangers with 25 points, going 10-of-19 from the floor. Rachel Wilczek and Autumn Klugh each hit four three’s while scoring 15 and 14 points, respectively. Wilczek finished with five steals and Keindra Scott blocked three Cavalier shots.
SGU’s Leticia Silva led all scorers with 32 points. The Cavaliers were also .500 from beyond the arc, connecting on 6 of 12 attempts.
Northwestern (9-12, 3-10) returns home on Saturday, Jan. 30 for a 6 p.m. game against Oklahoma Baptist.
